"Blossoming" I New Album I Sound Baths by Mathieu Robert & Erwin Vann

“Blossoming” is a new album in a duo with soprano saxophone player and overall peaceful sound maker Mathieu Robert. The music was recorded in August 2020. Its actual release was delayed until today mainly due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Although we are both saxophone players, we only play our main instruments on the two bonus tracks (5 & 6) of this recording. The entire album's main instrumentation is made out of singing bowls, gongs, bells, shakers, a shruti box, etc... a world of sound into the realm of peace and wonder.

We are also both active yoga teachers, known as Ramdas (Mathieu) and Eknath (myself), and the main goal of this music is to bring relaxation and peace to our busy minds.

So, if you want to enter into “zen” mode, relax after a busy day, or practice meditation, “Blossoming” is for you! If you’re a yoga instructor who teaches yin yoga, restorative yoga, or guided meditation, “Blossoming” is for you! If you’re a massage therapist, a shiatsu practitioner, an osteopath, or an acupuncturist, “Blossoming” is for you! Or if you are one of our jazz fans, and want to discover what we’re up to these days, this music could also be for you…

As of today, high-quality downloads are available for purchase on my Bandcamp profile. And, as we speak, the music is being distributed to most known streaming platforms, for your convenience.

The album consists of four main tracks and two “bonus” tracks, which are exclusively available on my Bandcamp profile. Four sound baths with singing bowls and gongs (1/Fundamentals #1 - Quietening, 2/Fundamentals #2 - Trustfulness, 3/High, and 4/Fundamentals #3 - Blossoming) and two sonic journeys which include the sounds of our saxophones (5/Blue Howlite, a blues of some sorts, and 6/Emoto, an homage to the Japanese scientist Dr.Masaru Emoto, known for his research on water and consciousness).

Recorded by Udo Pannekeet at Wedgeview Studios (The Netherlands), in August 2020. Mixed and mastered by Christophe Albertijn. Design and Artwork by Anna Piratti Art. Photo of singing bowls by France Dubois.

Enjoy!
